A Candidate We Should Back

Stewart Alexander is running for President as a Socialist Party candidate. Why should we support him? Wont' this hurt Obama?

We need, at very least, to widen the conversation. being trapped between the fascist threat of the extreme-right Republicans and the center-right corporatist reality of the Obama administration is a losing proposition for working people. The reality is that this system, the one Obama is loyal to, is killing us. It's killing the planet. It is a police state of historic proportions that continues to metastasize under his leadership.

The reality is that enough votes for Alexander, even if he doesn't win, would push things to the left. The Presidential race is only a small part of the elections, we must work to defeat the extreme right in Congress and that means supporting progressive Democrats and alternatives.
